Layers of Fear - Feedback (Video)
« on: January 16, 2016, 12:35:30 PM »
What's up Bloober Team?
On this page I go by "N073" but I have made my first impressions on Layers of Fear (the Demo).
There will be lot's of cursing so a little note right there.

I made my first impressions during a videostream on Twitch.

Also uploaded this on YouTube.

In general (but more will be added as it comes to mind)

- Gameplay reminds me of Amensia and Resident Evil.
- Put subtitles on hints and notes (while reading letters etc.)
- Change the music during gameplay, for me it made it less scary.
- Smoothen up the gameplay (well, obviously this is a pre-release demo)

Added notes (lates update January 16th 2016: 12:45 Central European Time)
- Never thought the house would change. Definetly scary

Please watch the video you can see my reaction.
Hope my feedback helps.

I would definetly buy this game.
Want this game to be made.

Updates on Layers of Fear - Feedback

In the meantime I have bought the game.
Working on a Let's Play at the moment in chapters.

a Few more honorable mentions.

- This game makes sure I am shaking from fear.
- Never been so afraid as I was 13 years ago with the GameCube (Resident Evil)
- Jump scares are well timed, makes you wonder whenever something's donna happen, or not.

Things I personally would like to see.
- I would like to see a shadow walking by as the scare comes up.
Whenever you're looking at a distance, for example, looking outside a window.

- While you're looking at a painting, try make it so the first seconds it's just a painting the next it turns the head to watch you, wherever you stand in the room.

Things I question.
- I have the feeling you can't die in this game.

But still it adds to the atmosphere and maybe it's for the better this way.
You want your audience to have a solid experience. Not play it over 10 times.

So that's eventually a good thing.

Overall, keep up the good work! Keep doing what you guys do best.
